The Ursula Earrings

I finally got the first shipment of sterling silver beads from RioGrande.com. I ordered some 4mm faceted beads, some 6mm ones, and some 6mm scroll type sterling silver beads. They were pretty pricey (almost $1 a bead for the small ones, and almost $2 a bead for the scrolls), but I wanted to see a sampling so I would know what I liked and what I didn't. I still have another shipment coming from FireMountainGems.com, which some glass metal beads and some silver plated brass faceted beads. That should be coming tomorrow!

Anyway, I made these for my sister Ursula, who liked a design I had made wtih serpentine beads, but requested them with silver beads. I changed the design a bit...made them a bit bigger, removed the chain that the other ones hung from, put the beads on the inside of the hoop and added the scroll bead as a focal point. Ok, so I completely changed the design...hopefully she'll like them anyway. If not, I'll keep them and make her some other ones. : )

These might be my favorite ones so far, but quite pricey to make (about $20 in supplies alone).
